Prof. Dr. Ahmet Can Inci

A. Can Inci is a Full Professor of Finance at Bryant University in Rhode Island, USA. He got his doctoral degree at the University Of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2001. He also holds an MBA from Ohio State University, an MS in Control Systems from Imperial College – University of London, and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Prof. Inci is a prolific researcher in Finance. His book ‘Contemporary Issues in Quantitative Finance’ was recently published by Routledge in April 2023. His research activity focuses on exchange rate movements, corporate governance, emerging markets, oil and energy, futures, flight to quality, contagion at markets and financial institutions, gender gap at the workplace, insider trading, intraday volatility, and market efficiency. He has more than 40 publications, many of them published in top journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Global Finance Journal, and others. He is on the editorial board of many academic journals. He has also taught numerous different classes in international finance and business, investments, corporate finance, foundations of financial theory, financial analytics, and financial engineering. He is the CAIA representative, AASCB program consultant, and reviewer, among many other service activities.

Dr. Tanya McCartney is an assistant professor of Law at the University of the Bahamas. She also serves as faculty for The College of Business at the University. She is a UK trained barrister, Chartered Banker, and Certified Anti-Money-Laundering Specialist (CAMS) with more than 25 years of experience in law and regulation, compliance, and financial services. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of The ACAMS Bahamas Chapter. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Reading (United Kingdom), A Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (London, U.K.) with a specialization in Commercial and Corporate Law, an MBA in Leadership from The College of the Bahamas as well as a Chartered Banker MBA from the University of Bangor in Wales (United Kingdom). Tanya was conferred with a Doctor of Business Administration in 2022 from Edinburgh Napier University (Scotland, U.K.) for a programme of work entitled “Perspectives on Leading change: Exploring Change Readiness Strategies used in the Bahamian Financial Services Sector”.

Dr. Ioanna Dimitrakaki graduated from Senior High School in 2005 and she studied in the Department of Commerce and Quality Control of Agricultural Products (School of Technology and Agronomy), in the Technical Educational Institute of Western Macedonia, Florina, Greece, during the years 2005-2009. She had her first master in 2011 (2010-2011: Master of Arts in Business Management with Commendation, Kingston University, UK) and her second one in 2012 (2011-2012: Master of Business Administration, Kingston University, UK). She had her PhD from the South -West University “Neofit Rilski”, Bulgaria (2014-2017) in Economics and Industrial Business Administration.
