Jana Šimáková holds a master’s degree in Finance and a doctorate in Business Economics and Management. She works at the School of Business Administration in Karviná, Czechia. Regularly, she lectures on international finance and monetary policy at foreign universities and conducts research in these areas. She is the guarantor of the Innovative Entrepreneurship study program based on the Team Academy® principles, a unique approach to entrepreneurial education. She served as Vice-Chair (2013-2015) and Chair (2021-2023) of the Academic Senate of the Silesian University. In 2023, she was appointed Vice-Dean for International Relations. She serves as a member of the control and advisory body in the multifunctional coworking center for business support, Business Gate.
