Dr. Lucian J Pitt

Dr. Lucian J. Pitt is the Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Finance and Tax at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. His lectures cover various topics, including Valuations, Advanced and Applied Corporate Finance, Portfolio Theory, Applied Investments, International Finance, Currency Risk Management, Advanced Financial Management, and Personal Finance. Dr. Pitt’s research focuses on Corporate Finance, particularly in Short-Term Investment Decisions. He brings into academia two decades of valuable experience in the oil industry, where he worked as an Economist and Refinery Economist and has held senior roles in Auditing and Finance.
