Professor Cwiek has held faculty appointments in the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions and the College of Medicine, Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, USA. He was the developer and founder of the health administration undergraduate program and co-founder of the Doctor of Health Administration degree program at CMU, the enrollment to which is limited to healthcare executives with three or more years of upper-level management experience. Professor Cwiek is a recipient of the CMU Excellence in Teaching Award, the highest teaching award bestowed by the university. Dr. Cwiek is happily married to his wife Pat and has four adult children.
